AB Crew will be part of Belmont Town Day on Saturday, May 16 with erg challenges, giveaways, athlete demonstrations, and opportunities for visitors to try rowing themselves. Stop by our booth in Belmont Center to meet the team, support the program, and maybe even discover what the “B” in AB Crew stands for.

AB Crew is headed back to Lowell this Sunday for the 2026 Amber Zapatka Memorial Regatta 🚣‍♀️🚣‍♂️

After last year’s event was cancelled due to weather and river conditions, we’re excited to return to the Merrimack River for another full day of racing and competition.

The regatta honors Amber Zapatka, a former Lowell High and UMass Lowell rower whose legacy continues to inspire the rowing community through this event.

Nearly one year after a significant theft and destruction of team equipment temporarily sidelined our program, AB Crew has been recognized in local media for its remarkable recovery.

Strong Return to the Water After April Break

AB Crew returned from April Break with an impressive showing on the Mystic River, as both boys’ and girls’ teams demonstrated strong performance, adaptability, and continued improvement across all levels. Multiple boats secured decisive wins, including dominant varsity performances and standout results from novice lineups. With benchmark testing underway this week, the team is building momentum heading into the heart of the regatta season.

Multiple First-Place Finishes Highlight Strong Day of Racing

AB Crew turned in an impressive performance at this weekend’s regatta, with first-place finishes from both Novice Boys boats and the Varsity Girls 8+, along with a strong second-place result from the Novice Girls 4+. Across all boats, athletes demonstrated continued technical progress, adaptability, and team support both on and off the water. The team heads into the next week with momentum and clear areas for continued improvement.
