Arlington-Belmont Crew heads back to Lowell this Sunday for the 2026 Massachusetts Public Schools Rowing Association (MPSRA) Spring Championship, one of the premier public high school rowing events in Massachusetts.
The championship regatta takes place on the Merrimack River in Lowell, Massachusetts, our water home away from Spy Pond, and brings together public school rowing programs from across the state for a full day of sprint racing competition.
AB Crew enters the championship coming off an encouraging performance at the Amber Zapatka Memorial Regatta, where every squad across the program medaled
As the coaching staff reflected after the regatta:
“It has been many years since every single squad has walked away from a regatta with hardware. This does not come from just one person or one boat, but it’s the ecosystem of the whole team.”
Varsity and novice crews alike contributed to the team’s success, with athletes demonstrating resilience, technical growth, and support for one another both on and off the water.
The MPSRA Championship represents a major milestone in the spring season and an opportunity for crews to measure their progress against top public-school programs across Massachusetts.
